BEAUTIFUL PETALS

BEAUTIFUL PETALS (Simplified Version;International Collaboration:Moses,Zanele,Elizabeth and Freedom)

Beautiful petals like shining light
In the midst of darkness
Hopes of our bleaking tomorrow
Prince and princess of our world
Beautiful angels roses of beauty
Sacred hearts watered with grace
Nurtured with care and love
Seeds of joy and gladness.

By Moses Opara (Nigeria)

We are blessed with precious jewels
For once in our life time
Like fragile gems
We should take care
Of these heavenly angels
I also long to be a Mother
Of a wondrous Creation of the Almighty
Beautiful petals surrounding His garden of Eden
like these beautiful children of the Earth.

By Elizabeth E. Castillo (Philippines)

Oh! bairn there's a hope of a new dawn
In your eyes
The vision of the irises gleams
In your shadow
Litanies made without ceasing
For your tender soul
To See the light of a new day
Endure the heat of that light without fading
To be the one at the end of it all
with cane in hand
And grey hairs patiently awaiting that fateful epoch.

By Zanele Tyutula
South Africa

We are like lubricants
We keep the world moving
Despite the frivolous friction
We are bees
We sting the world
When we are neglected
We make honey that sweetens the world
When we are loved and valued.

By Kolade Olanrewaju Freedom
Nigeria.

As poets,we had different ideas but the need to honour the children united our ideas to create this beautiful piece.
We dedicate this to all children in the world.

The Advanced Version of the poem will be released shortly.
