(International Collaboration)
Sept. 30th, 2013

Sept. 30th, 2013

Ligaw Makata (Philippines):

I
In that open field of harvest
Man sow seeds of love;
He waters with joy and care
For seed to germinate & terminate cruelty.

II
But there comes another
He spreads his venom of hate
He greets greed with a warm embrace.
But the man of love lit the field of his
Undefeated wand of faith.

Peace eludes the wicked
He is captive to storm of doom.

Kolade Freedom Freedom(Nigeria):

III
Evil will not appear as Eve
To lure my Adam to hate
I sail on an ocean of love
Hatred deserted in a desert.

IV
I drive out strive from within
I uproot selfishness from its root
I loot the store of envy in my heart
Hatred is a parasite
It sites its habitation in the heart
of a filthy man.

Cleanse your heart O man
Happy is he with a loving heart.

LOVE, is a seed planted in the heart, nurture with kindness and niceness to others"

Ligaw and Freedom unite once again to display the potency of love. The world will shine when its inhabitants radiate love. ♥

NO SECOND THOUGHT FOR SECOND CHANCE

Photo: No Second Choice For Second Chance (International Collaboration)

Kolade Olanrewaju Freedom (Nigeria):

I
Walking along the shore
like a shepherdless sheep
I collide with past in present
Old memories escape out of obscurity
Memories puncture mind
to make selves known
I stare while she peeks at me
Hope hopping on the ground
of second chance
Past about to be wiped away
With the duster of a new beginning.

II
Flowers she hold tenderly
in tender hands
She presents to me
But I wouldn't receive
No signal for connection
The past is obstinate
It wouldn't permit me
to permit second chance.

Schy Taylor Cortez (Philippines):

III
The Heart is blind
It feels but cannot see
The mind is emotionally insensitive
It sees but does not feel
The mind is slave to logic
Heart is master to feelings
The body is home to both.

IV
A mild heart is optimistic
Second chance is given a chance
A logical mind is pessimistic
Too logical to hope
But wise enough to reason
Logic can accept; reason may forgive
But the heart that feels
Too much then, may not retrieve..
What it did, what it gave
Forever lost...
Maybe.. What for a second chance
Perhaps the heart can feel
Yet...
It cannot see. ...
For now
'Unforgiven'

HEALING THE WORLD WITH WORDS (INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION)

LIGAW MAKATA (Philippines):

I

I know peace is hard to attain
I know peace is hard to maintain
I know peace is hard to sustain;
When hatred is glued to greed.

II
Our world is a special gift from above
A treasure to be cherished and loved
Words not only heal broken hearts
The world is lit up and healed by them.

Heal me, heal us, heal the world
PEACE in my piece showers us with hopes.

KOLADE OLANREWAJU FREEDOM(Nigeria):

III
Words are cords of connectivity
They connect dreams to reality
Words are rods of guidance
They give peace assurance

IV
O Man, will not you sow seeds?
Sow words of liberation
Free peace from detention
Peaceful words carve peaceful deeds.

I liken words to broom
They sweep away doom.

FREEDOM AND LIGAW UNITE PEN TO OFFER HOPES OF PEACE TO THE WORLD VIA THEIR WORDS.

I Won Myself

I WON MYSELF

Dust kissed the sole of my feet
as I trod upon the ground valiantly
A herculean task was set before me
I peered into my heart
and courage was visible
I peeked at a mirror
and I saw a fidgeting image
Whose image was it?

I battled in a bottle
Filled with mixture of fear and courage
I had to sieve
Or subdue one for the other
But every attempt to implement
the element of decisiveness
Left me sitting on a fence.

The battle called unto me
When I refused to confront
It drew nigh
Barking like a dog
Afflicted with insanity
I was humming
Yes I was
Tension at attention
But fear thrown in detention.

Courage assaulted fear within me
I pulled away from despair
I repaired the damaged faith
by damaging self-pity
Joy was ignited
when worries were switched off
My soul freed
My body freed
I had won the greatest battle
I won myself to be myself.

Twist of Fate

Lay Your Hands On The Ark of Healing(Twist of Fate)

Disaster inserted sadness into lives
Lives were deactivated
By codes of calamity
Loved ones stolen from us
Tears flowed like a river
But the tears would not water
The flower of recovery.

Disaster crept in like a thief
Chasing out joy and serenity
But it would not inherit unjustly forever.

Bonded by love for humanity
Creatures of distinct nationalities
Heard a distant call
That propelled them to a temple
Housing the ark of healing.

Pens were sharpened with love
Prepared for use on papers of wisdom
Writings completed and stuffed in the ark
A name then appeared by fate;
TWIST OF FATE; a tool of faith.

Time to invade and possess justly
With ark in hand
Difficulties as obstinate as River Jordan
Will definitely part
Healing emanating from ark
Land cleansed; Normality restored
Only with your help
Twist of Fate is the ark
Together we bear ark
All hands needed
Lay your hand on the ark( Twist of Fate)
